Between these two extremes there are many points of interest, from the frescoes of Santa Maria Novella and the "Santa Trinità" to the majestic Palazzo Strozzi. This is also the part of Florence where to shop, from leather goods, silk and wool for sale in New Market, to items created by top designers in the shops of Via della Vigna Nuova ans Via de’ Tornabuoni. The area of "Oltrarno" is quiet, full of craft shops and antique shops that contrast with the elegant palaces and the austere facade of the Santo Spirito. This is a fascinating area in which to walk to discover the true spirit of Florence.
