Its position is unique: only 12 km from Saturnia and its thermal waterfalls, 25km from Pitigliano, 22km from the medieval village of Sorano, 18km from Sovana and just 1 hour drive from the sea. Nowadays it is a unique biological oasis, the home of wild animals like boars, fallow deer, mouflons and foxes and also a stock farm breeding cattle, sheep and horses. Tuscan properties were divided into smaller units called "poderi" which have now been restored to their original style. The houses are equipped with up to date household appliances and provide excellent accommodation for the guests.
In the Estate there are Farmouses with apartments and bedrooms, a Villa with bedrooms and 3 restaurants:
Cerro house 1: Ground floor: a large living area with fireplace, billiard-room, dining-room, kitchen. First floor: 4 bedrooms and bathrooms.
Cerro house 2: Small two-roomed apartment with independent entrance. Connecting with Cerro 1 if required.
Ripacci 1 and 2: The farm-house is located in the neighbourhood of the main "Villa" facing the swimming-pool and close to the minigolf (under construction). Two four-roomed residences.
Grossetello 1: Typical Tuscan farm: living-room, kitchen, fire-place, external little "loggia", two bedrooms.
Grossetello 2: An arch divides the lounge from the kitchen and the bedrooms. Stone fire-place, two bedrooms, one bathroom. Brickworked ceiling and wooden beams.
Grossetello 3: Two-storied residence: ground floor with large lounge , fire-place, kitchen, and bathroom; first floor: 2 bedrooms and one bathroom.
Grossetello 4 and 5: Little old stone farm-house with two apartments on ground and first floor. Each consists of a large lounge with kitchen bedroom and bathroom: two pieces of architectural jewellery.
Grossetello 5 opens out to a garden equipped with a wood oven, a large dining table and benches for outdoor meals.
The Capitana: This farmhouse consists of 3 flats:
Capitana n.1 and 3 - ground floor,
Capitana n.2 - first floor. Each apartment has been restored in the typical Tuscan style: redbrick (Tuscan "cotto") floors, big fireplace, wrought iron beds. Each apartment has independent entrance and private garden. Close to tennis court, mini-football and two swimming pools (one of which designed for children).
Casa Vichi: All in stonework! Austere and beautiful, enclosing four apartments, each consisting of a living-room with fireplace, kitchen, two or three bedrooms with bathrooms en suite. Fully furnished with hot water and central heating. Ready for you to move in! On an outer wall of the house there is a typical country-style wood burning oven for baking bread, pizza, and roast pork - in fact anything you fancy! The enlarged reproduction on canvas of a magnificent horse's head by De Chirico, reminds us that the house faces onto a large riding stables where a variety of activities on horseback await you.
The "Palazzina": On two levels. 1st floor: 2 bedrooms + 2 bathrooms,1 bedroom with bathroom and living-room, 3 bedrooms + 3 bathrooms. 2nd floor: 5 bedrooms + 5 bathrooms,1 bedroom with bathroom and living-room. Terracotta floors and wooden beams ceiling.
The Villa: The elegant halls on the ground floor, where you can find an art gallery, a billiard room, books and reading areas, are richly decorated with antique furniture and Caucasian carpets. The bedrooms are located on the first and second floors. The walls along the staircases are decorated with paintings by Dolores Puthod, celebrating the Bicentenary of La Scala Theatre in Milan.
